Original Air Dates: 4/26/1990 and 6/11/1990
In 1990, Busch Gardens Williamsburg unveiled an entirely new ride experience: Questor. Questor was a motion simulator that used an indoor theater that "moved" along with a live-action steam-punk fantasy sequence playing out on a big motion-picture screen. In the ride, you board the airship Questor, which is piloted by an 800-year-old gnome named Alwyn, in the search for the Crystal of Zed. Hijinks then ensue.

The ride proved popular and a second Questor ride opened at Busch Gardens' Tampa park the following year.

The Williamsburg Questor ran until 1996, where the presentation and theming were "swapped out" with a new experience called King Arthur's Challenge. The ride experience has changed several times in the years since (Corkscrew Hill, Europe in the Air) and the location currently houses the VR simulation ride Battle for Eire.

While mostly forgotten, those that rode Questor in the early 1990s still look back on the original ride with fondness. These two news segments show what was then a cutting-edge flight simulator experience, before the age of VR and what made it appealing. Also be on the lookout for the cameo by actor and comedian Bob Saget!
