This Super8 movie was made at UTS (University of Toronto Schools) as a Grade 11 English class project for Ms. Nora Maier. It was made without sound, and alas the written "script" that was read aloud in sync with the movie when presented to Ms. Maier has been lost to the sands of time (see below for a plot summary).

The scenes portrayed in the film are a short excerpt from the novel, in which Huck steals a bag of money that two grifters (the King, played by David Wingell, and the Duke, played by Jon Martin) had swindled away from grieving daughters of millionaire Peter Brooks (played by Melissa Price and Lisa Dent). In order to avoid being found out by the King and Duke, Huck (played by Brian Hamilton) has to hide the money in Wilkes' coffin. Of course, the money is then buried with the coffin. The real heirs to Wilkes' fortune arrive, and a dispute arises. The coffin is dug up to prove who has the right to the inheritance, and the money is found. Huck takes advantage of the confusion to make his escape.
