1988-1998 Chevy OBS Truck Front Control Arm Bushings and Ball Joints teardown

Описание к видео 1988-1998 Chevy OBS Truck Front Control Arm Bushings and Ball Joints teardown

Part 2: Replacing the front control arm bushings and ball joints is probably one of my least favorite jobs to perform. But, it is also a very rewarding repair or modification. If you are trying to save money and do the work yourself, you can obviously save money by shopping and purchasing specific brand components you want or like. When working on a 1988-1998 Chevy/GMC C1500 OBS truck, I prefer to use MOOG or ACDelco parts. I'm sure they are all still made overseas, but hopefully to a higher standard than the off brand parts you see on Ebay or even your local auto parts store.
In this video, I show how I removed the ball joints and bushings on the front upper and lower control arms in preparation to rebuild the suspension on my 1991 Cheyenne LS swap Project Shop Truck build. This, part 1 shows how the ball joints and A frame bushings were removed. Part 2 will show them getting cleaned up, painted, and all new MOOG control arm bushings and ball joints installed.
