At the 2026 Grammy Awards, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny used his acceptance speech for best música urbana to denounce US immigration authorities.

He said immigrants are not aliens but humans and Americans, and urged compassion over hate.

Bad Bunny, long critical of US immigration policies, has avoided touring the continental US, fearing federal agents would target his fans.

Billie Eilish, accepting best song of the year for Wildflower, echoed the criticism.

She wore an “ICE out” pin and stated that no one is illegal on stolen land, adding her rejection of ICE directly.

Other artists, including Damian Kulash of OK Go, also condemned federal agents, saying the government had raised masked men to attack its own people.
