[Counting numbers in Korean]

Korean numbers are divided into two types; Cardinal numbers and Ordinal numbers.
• Cardinal numbers(Native Korean) : for such as counting out numbers out loud, numbers of items, time(hour) and age. There is only 0-99 for cardinal numbers.
• Ordinal numbers(Sino-Korean): is used for numbers itself rather than counting. For example dates, time(minutes) money, address. From 100 onwards there is only Ordinal numbers.

You need to know both versions because both are mixed in use of Korean languages. For example, when you talk about time, hour is in Cardinal(Native Korean) whereas minutes and seconds are in Ordinal(Sino-Korean).

It is confusing at first, but once you get the pattern it is easy so keep up the good work!🙌

In this video, you will learn Sino-Korean version of counting.
