Young second-five Stevie Va'a was a top performer for Rongotai College 1st XV in 2017, recovering from a broken wrist to anchor the midfield in the Premier 1 schoolboy rugby competition for RC. Stevie is a physical 12 who enjoys the bump off, but also led the team in line breaks through good line running. Stevie will be back for his last year in 2018 as one of the team's experienced leaders, with 2 years of 1st XV experience already. Stevie is a continuing the proud tradition of quality RC midfielders that includes the likes of Ma'a Nonu, Julian Savea.
