Hello, hello and welcome to Episode 91 of What's On My Desk (WOMD). Today we are focusing on watches that are sleepers, meaning watches that might not be on most people's radars but they certainly could be on yours. You'll see pieces from Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Panerai.

From Panerai we are looking at the PAM 603 in Titanium. This watch was inspired by the PAM300, which was originally released in 2010 in a stainless steel model. The PAM603 has more of a vintage feel, which gives it some character however, coming in at 52MM, this watch is a BEAST. Because the Panerai hype has settled, so have original retail prices, meaning even less of a hit when it comes to preowned models. If you've got a wrist that can rock this size, perhaps it's for you.

Next up is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso. This watch has been historic for this brand, especially when you consider the era in which it was originally designed: 1931. The story of its origin is that it was a challenge that manifested its fruition. A polo player demanded a watch that wouldn't be rendered useless due to the intensity of the sport. Lastly is a watch whose lineage comes from a watch company that has been continuously active in the watch community since its inception in 1755: The Royal Eagle from Vacheron Constantin. They're recognized to have created the world's first watch complication (1790) and they're known for being part of the Holy Trinity. The Royal Eagle is the first sports watch Vacheron ever created and because its success was so short-lived, the watch has largely been overlooked.
