Burglary Case Solved by PS Jyoti Nagar Team. One Burglar and Receiver of Stolen Property Arrested; Stolen Articles Recovered.
On 24.02.2026, information regarding a burglary was received at PS Jyoti Nagar. Upon reaching the spot at Shiv Mandir, Meet Nagar, the complainant, Sh. Ashok Dixit (75 years), head priest of the temple, reported that on 23.02.2026 in the late evening he had locked the temple. However, the next morning when he arrived to perform puja, he found the temple lock broken and puja articles along with cash missing.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 97/26 under Sections 305(D)/331(4) BNS was registered at PS Jyoti Nagar and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation, a dedicated team led by Insp. Ved Prakash,SHO/PS Jyoti Nagar comprising ASI Naresh and HCs Anuj, Rahul, Manish, Manoj, and Ct. Anil, collected evidence from the scene. On the basis of gathered clues, the team arrested a suspected accused identified as Harbeer @ Kala Bachcha (27 years), S/o Jaipal, a vagabond.
During sustained interrogation, the accused Harbeer @ Kala Bachcha confessed to committing the burglary. At his instance, a raid was conducted and another person, identified as Dilshad (37 years), S/o Islam, R/o C-Block, Nand Nagri, Delhi, who was the receiver of the stolen property, was arrested. All the stolen articles were recovered from his possession.
On detailed verification, accused Harbeer @ Kala Bachcha was found to be previously involved in seven criminal cases related to burglary, theft, Excise Act, and NDPS Act. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
