TW 200 - Yikes! I don't think I have enough fuel to get home! Ep. 49

SAR Guys talk about a recent mission they responded to and the concern about having enough fuel to get home.

Lance and Joe like to take rides on their motorcycles in the local area which happens to include rainforests in the coastal Oregon mountain range. Being volunteers on the Search and Rescue team they never no when they might get called out on a mission. In this episode they talk about how they just happened to be riding in the mountains within just a couple of miles of a remote location where a Fish and Wildlife worker had fallen and required extrication by search and rescue team members as well as a Ropes Team.

During the mission, Joe had to ride several miles marking the roads so additional personnel could find the easiest way to the remote location since GPS often send the down impassable logging roads.

When the actual extrication was completed, Joe wondered if he had enough fuel to return home. In the video Joe describes what they did to ensure he got home without becoming stranded in the dark on a remote logging road.
