2017 Vectorworks Fundamentals - Creating Dynamic Sections And Elevations

This is the other way to make sections and elevations where we use the live 3D model to create our sections and elevations. Live sections and elevations can only be used if you have Vectorworks Architect, Landmark, or Designer. They are not available in the Foundation version of Vectorworks. At this point, you can still be in the Standard workspace, but we will have to change to the Designer or Architect Workspace later.

Now we are going to make elevations and sections. We haven’t created a 3D floor for our building yet, and we haven’t created any 3D footings yet. Those are things that we will need to do.

This lecture will show you how to create the additional parts of the building to create dynamic (or live) sections and elevations, how to create the section and elevation viewports, and how to assemble them into a drawing.
