Cigarette giant British American Tobacco is taking a 31.5 billion dollar hit – after writing down the value of its US brands. The company says inflation is making consumers shift to cheaper brands and of course some people prefer vaping to traditional cigarettes. And with regulation bound to get tougher – be it vaping or smoking – what could the future for tobacco companies look like? A conversation with analyst Rae Maile.
