Fontainebleau Las Vegas is the newest casino resort to open on the Las Vegas Strip. The resort started construction in February 2007 and changed ownerships a few times. The resort cost of $3.7 billion to build and finished after 16 years. It opened on December 13, 2023 with a ribbon cutting event at 10AM earlier in the day and private event for invited guests before it open to the general public late that evening. It is 737 feet (225 m) tall making it the tallest occupiable building in the state of Nevada. Fontainebleau is home to Komodo Las Vegas, Papi Steak Las Vegas, Don's Prime, and the Bleaulive Theater that will host Post Malone as a resident artist. The swimming pools will open in Spring 2024.
