Canon Powershot S80 - the last brick

In the early 2000's there were many very good cameras. Especially at the time, where 8MP were a "sweet spot". This is one of them. The canon s-series was very popular from the beginning. Very good build- and imagequality, easy to use, good lenses and ergonomics. And from the s30 on a special design. They looked like a brick and had a front-lens-cover-slider. The S80 was the last with this design-language. The S90 was more modern, smaller and thinner. The S80 was the most modern 'brick" with a large display, new designed controll layout, many more features and a cool, elegant look. Sadly there's no raw mode, but the jpegs are really good! Nice colors and you can tweak them. Af is fast and accurate for it's age. The 28mm wide angle was rare at that time and is very useful. A really nice camera to play with and the results are very good! 8MP are more than enough for many things. Another old digicam, which is a fun to shoot with.
