In this interview, he discusses the difference between creating a customer and keeping one, the value proposition of each, and knowing who your clientele is along with what their habits are.

The Scion Motivate program launched in October of 2012, inviting young business owners from across the country to submit their business plans for a chance to win $10,000, a personal business mentor, and a Scion vehicle. Out of over 1700 entries, 50 semi-finalists were chosen to attend a workshop in Los Angeles, where they had the chance to connect with leading entrepreneurs and industry experts.

Scion is a brand of vehicles produced by Toyota Motor Corporation for the North American market. Founded in 2002, Scion was introduced at the New York Auto Show to appeal to Generation Y consumers. The first Scion models, the xA hatchback and xB wagon, went on sale in California in 2003, followed by a sports coupe, the tC, and a nationwide U.S. launch in 2004.

A successor to the xA, the xD, premiered in 2008, and the Scion marque expanded to Canada in 2010. Scion currently has five models: the tC, xB, iQ, xD, and the FR-S. The Scion name, meaning the descendant of a family or heir, refers both to the brand's cars and their owners.
