Screen of the Ten Symbols of Longevity

영원히 존재하거나 오래 산다고 생각되는 자연물을 8폭의 병풍에 표현한 그림이다. 궁중회화가 갖는 아름다움과 품격을 잘 보여주는 작품으로 왕실의 안녕과 왕실 가족의 무병장수를 기원하는 의미를 담았다.

This eight-panel folding screen features depictions of natural elements believed to represent immortality or longevity. This example clearly exhibits the sublime beauty and dignity sought for court paintings. It was produced to express wishes for peace for the royal court and a long and healthy life for the members of the royal family.
