Hello neighbors and friends, Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, we're taking a look today at our Carr Custom Fit Sidestep. They are the Super Hoop Polish Aluminum 17" wide steps by Carr. Now folks, these are a custom fit application, so we wanna make sure you're checking our fit guide here at etrailer.com's homepage, top center where it says my vehicle or vehicle information. Enter things such as your year, make and model, cab size, series of the truck, et cetera, et cetera, to make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now I can tell you this set here fits roughly a 1981 all the way through the '96 different size Broncos and the F-100s all the way up to F-350s in all cab styles.

So again, check the fit guide, make sure you're getting the right parts. Now get into the steps themselves. They're gonna give you a nice stylish look and they're gonna help you to get in and out of your vehicle with a lot better ease. They give you a nice, large, flat portion here with built in molded in grip tread. So it's a non-slip diamond tread for excellent stability and it's a hoop style as you can see to give it a nice rugged off-road look.

So here's a better view of that diamond tread and just the underside of one of these. They're made of a XM3 Xtreme polished aluminum. They're rustproof, durable and they're not going to corrode or fade, crack or peel or anything like that over time. They're also made right here in the US. They have a nice limited lifetime warranty.

You get all the brackets to install everything. These have been galvanized. Everything else has also been corrosion finished to help, you know, not have any corrosion or rust. The step platform itself has a nice 17 inch wide footprint. So where it starts here to here where you can actually put your foot at 17 inches by 5 inches wide, it has a drop of six inches.

So from up where the brackets are down to level, it's six inches of drop and they can hold an impressive 500 pounds. You're gonna get two steps just like you see here with all the included hardware. And these simply mount onto the rocker panels as far as an installation. So they are a multi mount system and it's a very simple, precise fit for those vehicles that we looked at earlier. So again, it's a custom fit application. Check that fit guide like I mentioned already, and you shouldn't have any problem installing 'em. And one last thing to note before we go for the day, because this fits older year vehicles, I do recommend you probably get some kind of a lubricant or like a penetrating oil of some sort and spray all the holes before you do your install and make sure you're cleaning the threads out with maybe a thread chaser, thread tap, something like that to get any rust and debris out of there.
