The Revolutionary Break in Philosophy, Astrology, Medicine & Magic | Introduction to Paracelsus pt I

Paracelsus was a true visionary, single-handedly leading a revolution in medicine, alchemy, philosophy and magical practice. Yet, despite his decisive importance and celebrated status in Scientific and Occult history his mountain of literary works go virtually unread outside a small cadre of specialists. In the first of a multi-part series we are going to dive into the authentic works of Paracelsus to uncover what led to his break with past theory and practice, his theoretical and practical philosophy of alchemy, medicine and magic and the power of his influence through the centuries. In this first episode we provide some important background and explore his decisive early text the Paragranum. In that text Paracelsus will reject previous theory and practice to re-establish medicine on four new pillars: Philosophy as Nature, Astronomy as Arcane Power, Alchemy as Perfecting Reality and Virtue as Christ-like Redemption of the human being.
