Living in Kali Yuga, the age of darkness, the gap between spiritual individuals and society, which is often materialistic and politically driven, is quite big. If you choose to follow God’s path without bending to society you will be persecuted.
Christians, despite losing their battles for hundreds of years, were willing to die for their faith.
This bravery is was sustained Christianity.
Persecution continues today and full devotion is necessary on the spiritual path, despite its challenges. The path to spiritual enlightenment is arduous but ultimately leads to paradise, as described in both Christian and Islamic traditions.
