Performance Testing using JMeter

This video explains How to make use of Assertions in Jmeter. Assertions are used to validate data received from the response, in this video we have shown different type of assertions such as Size Assertion and JSON Assertion. This video majorly focused on JSON Assertion which is an inbuilt assertion used to validate data from the JSON Response using a JSON path expressions. JSON Assertion is an inbuilt assertion supported by Jmeter which comes with inbuilt support for various type of Assertion classes such as AssertionResult and its methods. To use this Assertion type there is no need to write any script or code, this assertion will take of that.

Steps to achieve this :
1. Create a test suite : Create a post request with following steps, Add Thread group, Simple controller, add HTTP request
2. Add a Config Element HTTP Header manager to define content type
3. Add a Size Assertion to verify the size of response body, Set the expected size of response body and verify
4. Add a JSON Assertion to verify the JSON response data
5. Set JSON path expressions and expected values to validate the data
