Gino Ruberto was a DJ at KEEY-FM in Twin Cities, Minnesota. In 1995 he assembled a parody of Shania Twain's "Any Man of Mine" titled "Any Gal of Mine", which caught the attention of "After Midnite with Blair Garner". Due to airplay on that show, it became the first song to make the Hot Country Songs chart without a label.
