PREA Specialty Training: Module 3, Effective and Professional Responses

TASK ANALYSIS: Develop competence in responding effectively and professionally to victims of sexual abuse and sexual harassment.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES: 1) Know the protocols and first responder duties to coordinate immediate steps and actions.2) Assess the victim's physical and emotional state, and have the necessary communication tools to conduct an effective interview.3) Understand the appropriate processes for referral, evaluation, treatment, testing and follow-up services 4) Recognize appropriate medical treatment options for the victim.
