N-scale layout (Time lapse - with photos)

This is a N-scale layout that I built in my den over the course of four Winters. It combines my interest in BOTH railroads and trucking and allows me to have the best of both worlds. My layout is completely free-lanced and is NOT prototypical. Most of what I tried to do is simulate as best I can a scene that seems realistic so that I can display/run my trains and trucks.

I've somewhat vaguely shown some of the things that were done when building the layout. The methods shown are by all means NOT the only way and/or correct way to make a layout, but just the ones I'm comfortable with doing. Hopefully this will be enjoyable for some viewers.
