The Mavericks: Freshers Day Performance 2k17

The Mavericks : Official Dance Club of NIT Rourkela was established in 2011 by 4 students and after that it has grown into a huge family. Going by the name, we create fresh original routines fusing classical with hip-hop and also experimenting with many other forms. All the choreographies are done only by the members of The Mavericks and we don't have any professional choreographer. We had bagged gold in Centrifuge '13 & '17. We have also won Silver in Mega Crew Division, Indian Hip-Hop Championship '16 collaborating with Synergy Dance Club of NIT Rourkela.

We have never looked back and have secured some incredible wins in a span of 6-7 years.

1st Runners-Up in the Group Dance Competition (NU 2018)
Winners of Centrifuge (Spring Fest 2017, IIT-Kharagpur) and Winners of Footloose (NU 2017),
2nd Prize in the Indian Hip Hop Championship, Mega Crew Division (in collaboration with Synergy),
1st Runners-Up in the Group Dance Competition (NU 2014, 2015 and 2016),
1st Prize in the Group Dance Competition (NU 2013)
1st Prize in the Group Dance Competition (Spring Fest 2013, IIT-Kharagpur),
1st Prize in the Duet Dance Competition (Spring Fest 2013, IIT-Kharagpur),
1st prize in Group dance competiton at INTRA-NIT 2012
1st prize in Group dance competition at NITRUTSAV 2KXII
3rd prize in Group dance competition at SRIJAN 2012 (Annual Cultural festival of ISM Dhanbad)
3rd prize in solo dance competition at SRIJAN 2012
3rd prize in duet dance competition at NITRUTSAV 2012
