EXTREME COLD WATCH is in effect from Saturday evening through Monday morning for all of South Central Texas, with wind chills as low as 2 below zero. A Winter Storm Warning is also in effect for the Hill Country and areas along and east of I-35, north of San Antonio, where freezing rain could begin Saturday morning and continue into Sunday. Ice totals of 0.10 to 0.25 inch, with pockets up to 0.50 inch in the Hill Country, will make travel dangerous.

Today stays cloudy and mild ahead of the arctic front, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and rain developing late afternoon into tonight as the front moves in between 4 and 7 p.m.

Saturday turns much colder with patchy rain and highs in the 30s, while Sunday remains very cold with a light wintry mix possible in the morning, creating slick roads, bridges, and overpasses before conditions improve later in the day.
