Khandwa Diaries- Gauri Kunj & Omkareshwar

2 day trip from Mumbai to Khandwa & Omkareshwar (Madhya Pradesh). Itinerary as follows:
Morning train departure at 8:40 AM from Kalyan and arrival at Khandwa 05:00 PM. Accomodation at Grand Barrack, a 160 years old heritage hotel (5 minutes from station). Autorickshaw for local sightseeing easily available. Day 2: bus to Omkareshwar from New Bus stand, ticket coating ₹130 per passenger. 2 hours to reach Omkareshwar, it is recommended to leave by 9 AM from Khandwa. Enjoy the day at Omkareshwar, don't miss boating adventure which was ₹150 for one person. Evening, take bus from Omkareshwar bua stand to Khandwa and catch a late night train. Highlight of the trip was visiting Kishore Kumar's house- his birthplace.
