On Sunday, July 28, 2024, the West Side Detroit Polish American Historical Society organized the commemoration and grave marker blessing in honor of Joseph Frank Bigos, the World War I Polish-American U.S. Army Veteran at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Hts., Michigan. This commemoration marked the 110th anniversary of the beginning of the Great War.
