DIY Upside Down Suet Feeder - Free or Repurposed Materials

Upside down (inverted) suet feeders are popular this year but are expensive. We have a recycle/renew/repurpose goal at Prairie Melody and we set out to build a DIY upside down suet feeder using repurposed materials around the house.

In this video we use a cracked plastic leftovers container to make the roof. Our suet cage fits inside and only allows access from the bottom. Woodpeckers, nuthatches and chickadees have no problem getting a suet snack. So far, it has been a starling proof suet feeder.
