I’m Toyin Carew and today I’m sharing my Revolut bank review and my banking experience with Revolut digital banking technology. Revolut is a fast-growing fintech business that specializes in banking and payment services and was formed in 2015. Revolut Trading Ltd, a subsidiary of the business, introduced a commission-free stock trading service in 2019. It began as a travel card with attractive currency exchange rates in 2015, and it has since strived to become a bank as a digital bank that offers brokerage and insurance services.

Revolut is one of the most popular digital banks, offering a wide range of services. It is a popular choice among frequent travelers. It may not, however, be able to totally replace your bank. Revolut is currently not a full-fledged bank, but it is working toward that goal. In December 2018, the European Central Bank granted the company a 'challenger' bank license. Revolut does not hold your money; instead, it uses Barclays and Lloyds to do it. It also sought for a UK banking license and a US bank charter in early 2021.

So, is Revolut a legitimate financial institution? Revolut is currently available in 28 countries after launching in ten Western European markets. Revolut is a global financial super-app with over 18 million users globally, and its European specialized banking license, which is based in Lithuania, is now active in ten European markets. Revolut is a financial and banking technology firm based in the United Kingdom. Its headquarters are in London, and it provides currency exchange, debit cards, virtual cards, Apple Pay, interest-bearing 'vaults,' commission-free stock trading, crypto, commodities, and other services through its accounts. Revolut has grown its team from 1500 to about 5000 people and expanded into new areas such as Japan.

What are the benefits of using Revolut bank? One of Revolut's most appealing features is the ability to send money worldwide for up to ten times less than you would through a bank. Revolut provides free, quick, and secure money transfers to bank accounts in over 130 countries, all of which are done using the current exchange rate. After nearly seven years of operating as an e-money institution in the UK, Revolut finally submitted its application for a UK banking license last year. It broke even in 2020 and was valued at £4.2 billion, making it the most valuable fintech in the UK. It sought for a banking license in the United Kingdom in January 2021. The company was valued at US$33 billion after a US$800 million investment round in July 2021, making it the most valuable UK tech startup at the time.
