The peculiarity of the Master consists in outlining the technological needs and potentialities of surface treatments industries. Such know-how, typically a not Academic one, is a prerogative of industrial experts active in the field, that are called to teach parallely to Academicians. Didactics is both in class and in laboratory. The laboratory is meant as stage plus project work to be performed at the Legnaro National Laboratories of the ISTITUTO NAZIONALE DI FISICA NUCLEARE or at the Padua University Labs associated to the master.
Once received the theoretical fundamentals during the lectures in class, the student is expected to assiduously attend the experimental activity in the lab.
Hosted at the Surface Treatment Laboratory of the LNL of INFN, a 8M€ cost laboratory, equipped with the most modern instrumentation, students will learn to plan experiments and to fabricate prototype machines typical of the industrial engineering in the field of surface treatments.
