Batman parkrun! Wollaton Hall, Nottingham

On a visit to Alton Towers I decided to take in one of the nearby parkruns. There were many options, but Wollaton Hall was the one that caught my eye.

Wollaton Hall took on a very special role when it appeared as 'Wayne Manor' in The Dark Knight Trilogy. This historic Elizabethan mansion is a popular attraction in Nottingham, and a number of scenes were filmed in the grounds and Hall, including a garden party scene at night which features in the film's trailer.

Wollaton Hall parkrun is one lap through the park, round the lake and back. The surface is a mixture of tarmac, grass and trail. The start and finish are close to the main car park and entrance.
