The 2001 Busch season involved many of the best drivers of the 2001s and the 2010s stealing the show. Jimmie Johnson and Ryan Newman won their first races, and Greg Biffle showed his mettle by winning 5 races as a rookie. While ppc racing teammates Jeff Green and Jason Keller fought hard for the championship, it would be sophomore Kevin Harvick, who was also racing in the Cup Series, who won 5 races and clinched the championship with 5 races to go.
