Описание к видео Cuba Steam in Paradise 1999 part 2

Central Gregorio Arlee Mañalich (207) was well known for painting their locos a different colour each year. In 1999 they chose turquoise. Locos in use were two 30” gauge Baldwin 2-8-0s built 1900 & 1920, a SG Baldwin 2-6-0 built 1918 and a Rogers 2-6-0 built 1892 (107 years old and still working) Also, a sign of things to come, SG TGM8-K Bo-Bo diesel built at Lyudinovo in Russia. Note the man on the buffer beam at the front of loco 1307 sprinkling sand on the rails to ease the slipping of the heavily loaded train. Because of the US embargo food was rationed, part 2 ends with shots of a Government food shop issuing rationes.
