The book of Lamentations (אֵיכָה — Eikhah) is the cry of a broken city before a holy God.

Written in the aftermath of Jerusalem’s destruction, Lamentations does not deny judgment — it faces it honestly.
It does not rush to hope — it walks through grief.

Each chapter is a lament:
• For a city left desolate
• For children who suffered
• For sin that brought ruin
• For glory that departed

Yet in the very center of sorrow, a truth remains unshaken:

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.”

Lamentations reveals that judgment is real — but mercy is not extinguished.
God disciplines, yet He does not abandon.
