Lets first begin with who is eligible to apply for all india quota mbbs seats. Students from any state of India except Jammu and Kashmir who got qualifying score in NEET exam is eligible to participate in all india counselling. Last year the qualifying score was 119 for unreserved category and 96 for reserved category.

15% of MBBS Seats in 234 government colleges comes under all india quota. These mbbs seats are allotted by medical counselling committe through online counselling process.

The online counselling website is http://mcc.nic.in. You need to register in this website to participate in all india counselling.

Before moving on to the all india counselling process, let us first discuss the application fees and college tuition fees range. The application fees for unreserved candidates is Rs 1000 and for reserved candidates it is Rs 500. You need to pay security deposit of Rs 10000 to participate in online counselling. This security deposit will be refunded to you if you are not allotted seat. If you are allotted a seat, it will be adjusted to the tuition fees you pay to the medical college.

For reserved categories such as OBC/SC/ST and Physically handicapped, the security deposit amount is Rs 5000.

For government medical college, the tuition fees ranges from Rs 10000 /year to Rs 1 lakh/year. Most of the government colleges are run by the state government where it resides so the tuition fees varies from state to state. For example Tamilnadu fees is Rs 13600/year whereas for Maharashtra it is Rs 76000/Year.
