Simulation is a very powerful tool to help de-risk the development of power electronic systems. However, the value of simulation output depends on the quality of the models used and the ability of the user to understand how simulation tools can be used to best effect.

In this episode of 'Power Knowledge,' we outline some of the tools used in power electronics development with examples of #pspice and PLECs. PLEC's is our most used tool for power electronics design and in this video we show some details of using it to model a 50W flyback converter including thermal and magnetic domains.
