Ultraman Cosmos: The First Contact is a tokusatsu theatrical film that serves as a prequel to Ultraman Cosmos. The movie was released in Japan on August 3, 2001, between the airing of episodes 4 and 5 of the series.

One of the very first Ultraman Series films made in the 21st century, this movie tells the tale between the bond of Musashi Haruno and Ultraman Cosmos himself, 8 years before the TV series.
