Soprano II: Anna Maria Antonius Wierød (15 years at the time!)

The Baroque-Choir KAMMA
Orchestra: handpicked musicians fom 12 different countries (!)
Recording & technique: Morten Kold
After YEARS of intensive studies I in the year 2000 dared to make this performance of "The Messiah", in which everything is exactly, as Händel made it at his performances: the same size of orchestra (of course playing on period instruments) and choir, the same tuning/temperature, the same tempi in all movements, the same articulation, frasing a.s.o.; even the pronunciation of the English text is as English was spoken in 1740-1750! (There are LOTS of literature from the period, in which it down to the most tiny details is described, how Händel performed "The Messiah"!). Soloists, choir and orchestra are all instructed by the conductor, and there were MANY more hours of rehearsal, than normally before such a performance.
Rehearsals and performances: summer 2000, recorded in Odense Cathedral, Denmark.
Performed according to the rules of musical rhetorics.
