How do I like my 3.0 Duramax?
I love it. It’s hands down one of the best trucks I’ve ever owned. The fuel mileage is incredible, the power delivery is smooth, and the low-end torque makes towing effortless—especially compared to my old 6.2 gas motor that had to scream to get the job done.

But let’s keep it real—there’s one thing I don’t like: the DEF system. When I’m towing around 6,000 pounds, it burns through diesel exhaust fluid fast. I’ll top it off, and within 100 miles the low DEF light comes back on saying "Speed Limited Soon." That’s frustrating. But other than that? This truck is a winner.

If you want a half-ton truck that delivers best-in-class fuel economy and can tow with confidence, the 3.0 Duramax is the one to beat. GM knocked it out of the park with this baby Duramax—it’s in a class of its own.
