On the surface, it looked like the “Uber of scooters” — but in reality, it was nothing more than a classic Ponzi scheme dressed up as a tech investment.
Thousands of investors across the world — from North America to Asia — were tricked into believing this was a legitimate scooter rental business out of China. People convinced themselves they were part of a booming industry, bragging about doubling or tripling their money in just weeks. Families pooled savings, recruited friends, and poured life savings into what turned out to be yet another scam.

From fake domains and shell companies, to shady recruiters posting testimonials online, the scam was carefully designed to appear legitimate while quietly draining millions from everyday investors.

Fake corporate fronts under names like LSSC Canada Inc., LSSC Edmonton Ltd., and Lightning Shared Scooter Limited.
Domain hopping through websites like thelssc.com, lssc-canada.ca, lssce.com, lssc6.com, and lightsha.com to dodge regulators and blacklists.
International promoters who pushed this scam aggressively in their communities, with some even pressuring loved ones to invest.
Manipulative marketing that made people believe they were part of a real scooter-sharing business when no actual rentals were happening at scale.
Scams like this don’t just disappear. Once exposed, they often spawn countless variations and copycats because they’ve proven to be highly profitable for the criminals behind them. The model “works” — not for investors, but for scammers who walk away with millions while victims are left with nothing.
It’s not just the faceless masterminds in China who should be held accountable. Recruiters and promoters worldwide — people who knowingly pushed others into this fraudulent scheme — must be named and shamed. Some played key roles, spreading reassurances right up until the collapse. Anyone who profited at the expense of victims cannot hide behind the excuse of being “just another investor.”
