In today's video, I'm going to teach you how to add testimonials on WordPress.com. This simple WordPress tutorial is perfect for beginners eager to enhance their websites with authentic customer feedback. Testimonials can greatly improve the credibility of your site, and adding them is a straightforward process once you know your way around WordPress. So, let's dive in.

To start, you'll need to log into your WordPress.com account. Open your preferred web browser and search for WordPress.com login. This should lead you to the WordPress login page where you can enter your credentials. Once logged in, you'll arrive at your WordPress Dashboard, the central hub for all your website's activities.

Next, take a look at the left-hand menu and click on ‘Posts’. From this dropdown, select ‘All Posts’. This brings up a list of all the posts on your site. Choose the post you want to add testimonials to and click ‘Edit’. If you prefer a more visual interface, select ‘Edit with Elementor’. This popular page builder makes editing WordPress pages more intuitive with its drag-and-drop feature.

Inside the Elementor editor, you'll find an empty search box at the top. In this box, type ‘testimonial’. You'll see a widget specifically for testimonials appear—click on it. Drag the testimonial widget to the spot where you’d like it to appear on your page. This widget is robust, allowing you to add credibility to your post with ease.

Now, let's add some customer insights. Click on the ‘Content’ tab where you can directly input the text for your testimonial. This should include the specific feedback or review from your client. Make the testimonial as engaging and authentic as possible, capturing the genuine thoughts and experiences of your customers.

Once the content is set, it’s time to add a personal touch with an image. Click on ‘Choose Image’, then browse your files to select an image of the customer who provided the testimonial. Not only does this personalize the feedback, but it also helps build trust with your audience.

Before you finish up, check out the ‘Image Resolution’ settings. You may want to adjust this to ensure the picture fits well on the page while maintaining quality. Continue on to the ‘Name’ field under Content and type in the name of the person providing the review. Adding a title or a brief description of the individual validates their feedback even more.

If the client has allowed, you can also link back to their website or profile by clicking on the ‘Link’ option and entering the URL. Once your testimonial is set up to your satisfaction, Elementor will automatically update your page with these changes, saving you the extra step.
