From behind the scenes to the front row of a designer’s latest fashion collection, Darleen Rubin has had the joy and privilege of being there to photograph the wonderful world of fashion and the dynamic designers who have had a powerful and indelible effect on the world such as Halston and Calvin Klein. In a comprehensive photographic presentation, Darleen has gathered some of her favorite photographs of the designers, their clothes, the beautiful models they chose to represent them, and the celebrities enamored of their creations who became part of this exciting world of fashion.

Darleen shares her exciting experiences of being invited to all the best and splashiest parties and events in her career as a fashion photographer. Her work has been published in newspapers, magazines, and books in the U.S. and abroad. She has had 12 solo exhibitions and been part of 18 others.

Darleen’s work of the Greenwich Village and NYC Waterfront is on display in the Main Reading Room of the Hudson Park Library until June 30, 2023. All her work is available for purchase, including vintage hand-made B/W silver gelatin prints from this exhibit.
