Kanye’s music found me at the hardest time of my life in high school, at a point where I felt I had nothing to be confident about, or that I had nothing special to bring to the table. His entire discography means so much to me, but The College Dropout has always been a record that speaks to me on levels unlike anything else

I’ve always admired Kanye’s bluntness and his need to challenge the status quo, to speak the truth regardless of how unpopular it is. That’s something that’s gotten me in trouble in my personal life too.

That’s pretty much exactly what The College Dropout is. It’s our first and arguably most prime example of Kanye West’s perspective on our society, and it cuts right to the heart of young people and their weaknesses

But what is that weakness? Well, it can’t just be college, right? I mean I know it’s called The College Dropout but he’s not really telling us college is———

I started this channel because I love talking about music (specifically hip hop) and given that the genre seems to be going downhill, I want to be part of the community that preserves the expectation of great music and dissecting what makes a beautiful record.
