Givi XS306 Tanklock Bag - Why I think the design is flawed

Very disappointing experience with this bag. I'm generally a fan of Givi products, used them in the 1990s, currently have a top case and already ordered the EA117 bag.

Here my view on why the design of this bag is flawed:

1) Front/security strap super annoying (dangling down) when using it as a shoulder bag. No buckle or o-ring to secure the tank bag otherwise, if you chose to cut the annoying strap off (cannot take it off, a clip to take it off would have helped).

2) Top plastic cover: The nudge obstructs view of the smartphone. The nudge has no purpose. If you lift the flap to access the main compartment the smartphone will slide down deep into the hidden area of the top plastic cover, difficult to take it out.

3) USB cable routing goes into the plastic cover not into the main compartment. Not sure what Givi was thinking here, has only disadvantages.

4) Map/tablet cover: Works better for use with smartphone but also has the unnecessary nudge that partly will obstruct view if used with bigger screens/tablets. Cannot open main compartment when this is attached, need to fumble around with an annoying Velcro. Could have easily been solved if the map/tablet cover would have attached to the opening flap instead of the main body of the tank bag. I'm wondering, why Givi was not seeing this issue when designing this bag.

5) Rain cover is not hidden or tucked away. Please Givi, buy some Lowepro or Think Tank camera bags and check out how they manage to integrate their rain covers. This rain cover is just in a cheap pouch that they threw into the main compartment (eating up space there). Fancy... Not.

6) No nets, flaps, zipper pouches, pen holders or any other compartmentalization inside the main compartment. No chance to store smaller or mid-sized items other than throwing them into the main compartment. Cheap.

7) Useless rubber-banded divider inside the main compartment (the silver thing) that allegedly keeps items dry. Wondering why one needs the rain cover then. This doesn't make sense and one cannot take it out and it always seems to get in the way.

8) Main compartment is smaller than it should be thanks to the bottle neck that is the opening and the weird shaped corners. This might not be an issue for most users though and it might help with aerodynamics, but for bigger boxy items it already proved to be a downside for me.

9) Last but definitely not least: The side zipper bags. Ridiculously tight and small. Not even a sunglasses pouch will fit in there. I cannot imagine fumbling for keys or earplugs in this super tight opening. Maybe if you have smaller fingers.
