Описание к видео 5 Step Muscle Strain Treatment Guide [ Axe Physio ]

Here is my 5 step Muscle Strain Treatment Guide. I do apologize for anyone that was after quick fix unicorn solutions, because truthfully they do not exist.

There are 5 phases to treating most muscle strains, regardless of whether they are high grade strains or low grade strains. Or whether they are upper or lower limb injuries. You need to progress through each of the phases based on what you can DO and not be guided on how much TIME has passed. This will give your rehab the greatest chance of success.

If you have a low grade strain you will progress quicker through the phases, whereas higher grade strains will take more time.

The 5 phases are:

1. Acute phase: settle it down
2. Sub-Acute Phase: Begin using it
3. Strength/building phase: Big phase where we build your muscles strength/size and capacity to tolerate work
4. Sport Prep Phase: introduce speed and skills
5. Return to Sport: Work up to full speed skills and full team training.

This video is not a substitute for proper assessment and 1-on-1 rehab but is intended to educate you on what a rehab SHOULD look like. It should be measured, objectively driven and meaningful to you and your injury.
