Will Mikko ever talk? | Nonverbal Autism

Mikko, in the last year alone, has made tremendous progress. She is much more vocal than in the past, yet she still doesn't talk. Beyond popular belief, the fact that she DOES mimic sounds (those sounds being words), we are still working on teaching her how to recognize, and furthermore, comprehend what is being done with what is being said. We don't expect her to get it overnight, but we do know that she is learning the ways of the world one step at a time. And that, in itself, is a win in our eyes.
