Y'hiyu L'ratzon (May the Words)

Описание к видео Y'hiyu L'ratzon (May the Words)

Cantors Rachel Brook and Elizabeth Berke
Composed by Cantor Hollis Schachner

In our daily liturgy, we end each Amidah (the central standing prayer recited three times a day) with private meditation, asking God that our words and our innermost thoughts be acceptable before God. We pray that our innermost selves be aligned with who we aspire to be, much like our communal prayers on the High Holy Days. As we spiritually prepare for these Days of Awe, Cantors Brook and Berke offer this beautiful rendition of Y'hiyu L'ratzon by Cantor Hollis Shachtner.

Y'hiyu L'ratzon imrei fi, v'hegyon libi l'fanecha.
Adonai tzuri v'go'ali.

May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to you, God, my Rock and my Redeemer.
