Creamy Mushroom and Minced Meat Pasta

Ingredients:

4 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, finely chopped

500g minced meat (beef, pork, or turkey)

200g mushrooms, sliced

300g pasta (your choice, cooked to package instructions)

500g tomato passata

500ml water (use the passata carton to measure)

2 tbsp salt

2 tsp mixed herbs

1/2 tsp chili flakes

165g lightest Philadelphia cream cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Grated cheese (for topping)

Instructions:

Heat the oil: Add 4 tablespoons of olive oil to a large pan and heat over medium heat.

Fry the onion: Add the finely chopped onion to the pan and fry until golden brown.

Cook the meat: Add 500g of minced meat to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes, until browned.

Add mushrooms: Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Prepare the pasta: Cook 300g of pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Add passata and seasonings: Pour in the 500g of tomato passata, then fill the passata carton with water (about 500ml) and add it to the pan. Stir in 2 tablespoons of salt, 2 teaspoons of mixed herbs, and 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes.

Incorporate cream cheese: Add 165g of lightest Philadelphia cream cheese to the mixture and stir well to combine. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Combine with pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the pan and mix thoroughly until well coated.

Garnish and serve: Top with fresh parsley and grated cheese. Let the cheese melt, then serve and enjoy.
