Disc 4: Dialogues & Confluences, highlights Evans’ collaborations and duos. The track “You and the Night and the Music” features musicians Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Jim Hall (guitar), Percy Heath (bass), and Philly Joe Jones (drums). This track was recorded on July 17, 1962, and originally issued in 1962 on the album Interplay (Riverside RLP 9445). Interplay was Evans’ first quintet album recorded under his own name.
