In this video, I demonstrate using an external power adapter I found on Amazon to replace the LP-E8 battery used in my Canon EOS Rebel T2i / 550D DSLR. The same battery is used with the T5i / 700D, T4i / 650D, T3i / 600D, and Kiss X5, X4, Kiss X6, and LC-E8E.

I am using a 3rd party batter grip and the power adapter works like butter. I retain the batteries for traveling and taking photos on the road, but when shooting video with the T2i - this little adapter is worth every penny.
