The Essence of Newa | Ethnic Exploration with Niti Shah | Nepal

Here's our second episode on "The Essence of Newa" where we tried to exploration one of the ancient ethnic community of Nepal.

Newars are the historical inhabitants of Kathmandu valley. They are creators of the historic heritage and civilization in Kathmandu and it’s surrounding areas in Nepal. Newa population consists of at-least 5% of Nepal’s population and follow Hinduism and Buddhism. They are known to be preserving and practicing their age old traditions with utmost pride and humility. It was a privilege to spend almost a week in the midst of Newa community and to experience their festivity, culture and cuisine. Truly grateful for this memorable experience.
